Mindfulness of Breathing Retreat

This silent retreat will focus on exploration, guidance and the opportunity to practice meditation as described in the Buddha’s mindfulness of breathing discourse. The retreat will also include guidance in and the opportunity to develop the four divine abodes: warm benevolence, compassion, appreciative joy and equanimity.
Suitable for both beginners and experienced meditators, the aims of the retreat are
- To provide the opportunity to explore and experience first-hand the cultivation of insight and serenity with mindfulness of breathing.
- To provide the opportunity to experience the development of one or more of the four divine abodes (benevolence, compassion, appreciative joy and equanimity).
- To develop skills to help free oneself and others from psychological suffering.
About the Teacher
Malcolm Huxter
Malcolm began following the teachings of the Buddha in the 1970s with Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism.
