This retreat is suitable for beginners and more experienced meditators, and will include both Metta & Vipassana practice

The practice of loving-kindness (mettā bhāvana) aims at the cultivation of a loving, benevolent attitude towards all living beings. Since the time of the Buddha, this form of meditation has been used as a practice in itself, and as a support for the development and deepening of insight.

 

If due to travel restrictions Ven Viranani is unable to attend the retreat in person, she will be teaching remotely via big screen in the Dharma Hall, and interviews will take place via zoom.

Venerable Virañani

Ayya Vīrañāṇi began to practice meditation in 1979, as a scientist and conservation biologist in Hawai’i and New Zealand.
