Malcolm Huxter

Malcolm began following the teachings of the Buddha in the 1970s with Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism. Since then, he has mostly practised insight and serenity within the Theravada traditions which has included: ordaining in forest traditions of Thailand for 2 years in the late 1970s’, several intensive long retreats within the Mahasi traditions, and yearly self-retreats with teachers who teach serenity meditation. He is a clinical psychologist currently working in private practice in Lismore. He has been teaching meditation for over 30 years to range of populations in courses, workshops and retreats. He published a book on the four establishments of mindfulness for stress, anxiety and depression in 2016.
